BlockBase is an IT laboratory and venture capital company expanding its investment portfolio to the Asia-Pacific region, specifically in Vietnam. We acquired OneBlock Labs, a well-established Vietnamese blockchain lab, with the aim of becoming a comprehensive venture builder. Our vision is to provide investment standards and opportunities for Vietnamese and international investors. Additionally, we have established Herond Labs, a strategic subsidiary focused on blockchain, web3 solutions, and bridging the gap between web2 and web3 technologies. What we're looking for

Context of this role:

- In the realm of business, BlockBase Venture Capital operates as a licensed entity in the Cayman Islands with its base in Vietnam, specializing in investments within the blockchain sphere.

- Our primary goal is to establish ourselves as a reputable venture capital firm, setting us apart from the impromptu nature of many Vietnamese counterparts. We aspire for our investors to recognize us for our outstanding investment performance, while project owners view us as reliable backers for their endeavors.

- Currently, we are in search of a Business Development Executive capable of spearheading our mission. This involves bolstering the Blockbase brand through strategic partnerships, both with investors and project stakeholders, nurturing industry connections, and propelling the growth of a distinguished crypto venture capital enterprise.

Objective:

- Propel Blockbase Venture Capital to become a leading and respected crypto VC firm in Vietnam and beyond, recognized for both outstanding investment performance and reliable support to projects.

Responsibilities

Fundraising performance (50%):

- Collaborate with team members to execute fundraising campaigns. Meet with the deal sourcing team to plan and implement marketing campaigns for lead generation, aligning with overall company goals and fundraising targets.

- Assist in fundraising efforts by attracting new investors and showcasing Blockbase's track record of success.

- Continuously monitor and analyze industry trends, competitor activity, and regulatory developments to inform strategic decision-making.

- Contribute to lead-generation and customer-acquisition activities, such as sales enablement, media promotion, networking, trade shows, and events.

Brand Building (25%):

- Forge strategic partnerships with established investors and project stakeholders to solidify Blockbase's brand image as reliable and discerning.

- Secure high-profile sponsorships and collaborations to enhance visibility and credibility.

- Craft and execute effective marketing and communication strategies that resonate with both investors and project owners.

- Industry Outreach & Community Engagement (25%):

- Act as a point of contact for investors, answering their questions and providing regular updates on the fund's performance and market trends.

- Actively participate in industry events, conferences, and online communities to establish Blockbase as a thought leader and trusted voice in the crypto space.

- Build strong connections with key players, including VCs, entrepreneurs, advisors, and regulators, fostering a robust network for collaboration and information exchange.

- Contribute to the growth and development of the Vietnamese blockchain ecosystem through educational initiatives and community engagement.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, or a related field.

- At least 2-3 years of experience in business development or investor relations, preferably in an investment fund or financial services firm.

- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with fluency in English and at least one other language.

- Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills, with the ability to understand complex investment strategies and communicate them to investors.

- A proven track record of building and maintaining relationships with investors.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a proactive and entrepreneurial mindset.

- A passion for the investment industry and a desire to continuously learn and grow.

- Experience in managing partnerships and organizing events is a plus.
